The training programme emphasizes on the importance of waste management, various Acts and Rules & the amendments therein, being notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change (MoEF&CC) for the better understanding of the compliance obligations required by the corporates.
When industries produce waste, these substances are released to the environment causing lots of damage to the ecosystem. Common examples of industrial waste include everything from acids to sawdust and scrap metal. Therefore, industries are required to manage all sorts of waste to ensure very little waste, if any, finds its way to the eco system. Industrial waste management defines the activities and actions required to manage waste from its inception to its final disposal. This includes amongst other things collection, transport, treatment and disposal of waste together with monitoring and regulation. It also encompasses the legal and regulatory framework that relates to waste management encompassing guidance on recycling.Therefore, the training programme will mainly focus on the rules covering waste such as Hazardous Waste, E-waste, Plastic Waste, Battery Waste, Construction & Demolition Waste, Bio-Medical Waste & Solid Waste.
