Assessment of the companies is a transparent and rigorous process based on the



Sustainability Excellence Model developed on methodology adapted from the internationally acclaimed European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) approach wherein equal weight is assigned to "enablers" and "results" (Figure). Further, the economic, environmental and social dimensions are also given equal weight.

A pool of 36 specially trained assessors from diverse professional backgrounds carry out the assessment utilising about 1,000 hours per application over 6 months. The findings of the assessment are reviewed by the Jury at two stages, and the final decision is taken by them.
