Aligning CSR policy to the UN’s sustainable development goals is a huge change project and needs input across the organization and buy-in at the executive level. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are about achieving development goals from an economic, social, and environmental perspective. SDGs are a response to this need: a universal, ambitious, sustainable development agenda involving education, health, environment, industry, justice, governance, cities among others.
With this background, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Pune jointly with CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development (CESD) is organizing the 2nd Edition of CII CSR-CSO BRIDGE 2018 which aims to identify and share practical, evidence-based solutions that can support the SDGs. The theme “The CSR Way to SDGs” will define how companies of all shapes and sizes can play a major role in driving a more sustainable, prosperous, and inclusive society while also meeting their corporate goals of generating value and achieving competitive advantage. In this view, we can think about CSR as a way to implement these goals at all levels.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The session is aimed at a varied audience from Industry (Preferably CSR Heads, Chief Sustainability Officers or HR and PR Heads), Academicians, Media, Government bodies, and NGOs or Voluntary organizations (CEOs, Resource Mobilization personnel).
