A Guidebook for Integration of Biodiversity: Spice Sector in The Western Ghats acts as a guide for the spice sector companies, especially those operating in The Western Ghats of India with respect to biodiversity conservation and sustainable management of natural resources. The Western Ghats are one of the biodiversity hotspots that extend key ecosystem services to the whole of peninsular India. This region also houses many provisioning services that are of economic value. The important aspects covered are the inter-linkages between business and biodiversity, their impacts and dependencies on biodiversity and ecosystem services, and measures for management and monitoring.

Indian Solutions for the World to Achieve SDGs

In its role as a knowledge-sharing platform, CII, through this report,  delves into each of the SDGs, targets, and business implications thereof, with respect to a few industry sectors. There are examples that illustrate how companies have incorporated the SDGs framework as a part of their business strategy and gone about achieving them as well as case studies. This report aims to promote cross-learning not only amongst similar industry sectors but also among other sectors. Our steadfast endeavor is to constantly inspire, encourage, and motivate the industry as a whole to contribute to national development.

Air pollution is one of the major man-made environmental risks to public health. To address the rising concerns of deteriorating air quality, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with NITI Aayog launched the 'Cleaner Air Better Life Initiative' in November 2016. This report has been finalized during the fourth meeting of the task force held on 29 November 2017, considering all the inputs received from the members. Personal and freight mobility are important aspects of economic development and therefore create a significant footprint on the natural environment, especially on the ambient air quality. Under CII-NITI Aayog 'Cleaner Air Better Life Initiative', the task force on clean transportation has undertaken a consultative process to identify seven areas of action towards mitigation of air pollution in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR).
