CESD in partnership with World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Cement Sustainability Initiative (CSI) in India and Cement Manufacturers’ Association (CMA) is organizing a seminar on safety practices in industry.
Safety is a key concern for India Inc. India needs to create over 100 million jobs in the next decade. These jobs will also need to be safe. Make in India should be Safe in India.
This seminar on “Achieving zero harm for our workforce, contractors & communities – Safe in India” will provide a unique platform to address interconnected safety elements critical to heavy industries such as cement, metals & mining, construction, and heavy manufacturing. The seminar aims to look at possible solutions to help companies achieve the goal of zero harm to all. It intends to distinguish what can be done by companies and what would require collaboration with stakeholders. This will help build a safer and healthier workforce together. Contractor and logistics safety will be the two key thematic areas in focus.
